                The study of value, which is known as axiology, is very crucial to modern leadership development. No leader can  do well without specific and identifiable values and value systems around his or her work.  Dictionary asserted that values are beliefs about what is right and wrong and also important in life. In other words, values are principles, ethos, worth, motive and standards guiding what we do and how we do them. They are also ideals of life that people live by to get going. In leadership, Your value will determine your priority.

 1.   Your value will determine your priority in life.

2.    Your value will determine your thinking and sharpen your imagination .

3.    Your value will determine your mentality to work, either you are supervised or not.

4.    Your value will determine your attitude to people and issues.

5.    Your value will determine your planning before success arrives

6.    Your value will determine your friendship

7.    Your value will determine your worth.

8.    Your value will determine what you adulate.

9.    Your value will determine your reward system, either to be stingy or generous to people.

10.  Your value will determine your perception about money and how you use it.

To do well in leadership and become successful is to keep improving yourself. The largest room in the world is the room for improvement. Leadership starts from you first. If you don’t develop yourself regularly through learning, you can never improve and add values to the lives of people. How you keep improving yourself will determine how your leadership will be – because,

 

v                If you are weak, your leadership will be weak.

v                If you are a reader, people under you will appreciate reading.

v                If you are indecisive, your leadership will be at the mercy of power brokers.

v                If your mental capacity is low, you will only attract low-level people in your leadership.

Leadership business is purely peoples` business. Leadership is not about building, equipments or resources; but it is all about people. It is about people and for the people. To understand this simple fact is the greatest favour you can do for yourself. Never allow your policies to be more important than people. Aways take people seriously, no matter your qualification, connection or status. 

  If you ignore people, you will be ignored.
  If you abuse them, they will abuse you.
  If you appreciate them, they will appreciate you.
  If you honour them, they will ensure you are not dishonored.
  If you make them your priority, they will make your work a priority.
  If you want to march over them to the top, the will resist you with all they have.
  If you isolate them, you will bear your burden alone.
